As big fans of all things blonde, we love helping clients bring their dream shades to life. Blonde transformations can completely refresh your look, brighten your features, and boost your confidence. With the right techniques, tones, and care, going blonde can be a beautiful journey—and we’re here to guide you every step of the way!

Will going blonde damage my natural curls/texture?

Going lighter doesn't have to mean sacrificing texture or damaging curls! It's important to talk with your hairstylist before any service is booked to determine what they recommend will work best for you according to your desired look but maintaining moisture levels in those textured locks is key so opt for lightening techniques like balayage which works on individual strands instead of all-over processing that can be damaging overall.

What should I expect when visiting Blessed is She blonde specialist Salon?

When you visit a blonde specialist hairdresser at Blessed is She, you can expect a thorough consultation with the stylist to discuss your desired look and the best solution to achieve it. The stylist will then assess your hair type and condition, and determine what products will be most effective for your particular shade of blonde. During the appointment, the stylist may also suggest certain techniques such as balayage or highlighting to achieve the desired result.

Are there any treatments available for brassy tones in my blonde hair?

Yes! Some at-home treatments like purple shampoos are excellent for neutralising unwanted brassy tones in pre-lightened blonde hair. Unlike chemical toners, they don’t compromise the integrity of each strand—especially when used correctly—making them a gentler option for regular maintenance. However, if you're dealing with persistent yellow or orange tones after a professional lightening service, a chemical toner may be necessary to refresh and correct the color. The toning products we use are formulated to be very gentle on the hair when applied properly, following the guidance of a qualified hairstylist or blonde color specialist.

Is it possible to correct an undesirable tone after bleaching my hair?

If your hair has gone a bit too light—whether from at-home bleaching or a professional service—and you’re now seeing uneven results, don’t worry! There are ways to correct it, depending on how much banding (those lighter and darker stripes) is showing through each strand. For example, if the banding is fairly mild, we can often blend it out by adding a semi-permanent colour to the lighter areas. This helps even things out without darkening the rest of your hair more than you'd like. Feel free to give us a call or send a message—our team is always happy to chat and help you find the best fix!

How often should I get my blonde hair touched up?

Depending on how light you go, touchups may be required every 4-6-8 weeks for root regrowth or highlights that have grown out more than 3 shades from the original colour. It’s always recommended to consult with your stylist before scheduling a colour appointment so they can assess your individual needs and make appropriate recommendations.
